I don’t think I do much justice to my blog subtitle. So, I have decided to start blogging on my fav but least blogged topic, Technology. I’ll start with technologies I use in my day to day life.

First up, is Akismet. It’s the anti-spam engine which works behind the scenes to remove spam comment. Did you know, 90% of all blog comments are spam? No, it’s not just the Akismet tagline but my own observation. On my blog, it’s a whooping 99%! Then again, I am not so famous :p The total spam blocked on my blog alone is shown on bottom my sidebar. At the time of writing this blog, it read 10,647!

Akismet is another Automattic venture, another nifty creation by Matt and folks at Automattic. The best part about it, it’s completely free! To support them, I just ordered a pro blogger key yesterday. To be honest, I never had any problems in the free version. There might a priority queue of some sort but it doesn’t affect your blog too much. What are you waiting for? Just, go ahead and get one for your blog to enjoy a spam free future!
