Hello! I am Swaroop Hegde aka Swap, a tech geek and cricket fanatic who lives just outside Manipal, a small town in southern India. I fell in love with computers when I was just five. Although I’ve been a windows user for 15 years, I started using Linux in mid 2000. I switched to Mac OSX on my desktop in 2008 and haven’t look back (at Windows) since. At 24, I own a respectable company, have worked on many exciting websites along with our company’s software & services.
Racked Hosting LLC, my company is based in WI, USA. Although my main job is to take care of the software development and managing the RH Presence department, I also handle billing and technical support. In January 2009, I took charge of the newly opened office in India.
I drink, eat and sleep code. Although I mainly develop for the web (PHP, JavaScript), I have recently taken the plunge into mobile (iPhone) and plan to indulge more into hardware.
I have a mixed taste in music & and find it hard to work without it. I am passionate about technology, cars & bikes. Cricket is my only religion (apart from being born Hindu); Sachin Tendulkar is the God.
